Maintenance Worker
Job Description:
o Perform machine change overs.
o Assist packaging technicians and Machine Operators as necessary, including relieving for breaks or operating machines on as-needed basis.
o Set up machines to run safety and efficiently.
o Control downtime by informing production employees of routine preventive maintenance techniques applicable to them and monitoring compliance.
o Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
o Perform Housekeeping duties (sweeping, moping, scrubbing toilets, etc.) when needed.
o When performing maintenance keep seconds to minimum. List all seconds on production report.
o Building and Grounds maintenance (mowing lawn, weed eating, applying weed killer, picking up trash, painting etc.).
o Follow safety and factory rules.
o Work overtime as necessary (assigned by Maintenance Manager).
o Clock in time will be assigned by Maintenance Manager.
o Must comply with all 5S responsibilities as assigned by Maintenance Manager.
o Organize the Plant (Parts Room, Shop, Yard and Ground etc.) as defined by Maintenance Manager.
o Maintenance Tech. will wear designated PPE as required.
o Maintains equipment, parts and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies. Notify maintenance manager of needed parts/supplies in timely manner.
o Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed in all areas to insure safe, productive operation of the company. This can include helping to pack, stack pallets, operate machines, move equipment or various other duties as assigned by supervision or management.
Job
Qualifications:
o Mechanical aptitude.
o Experience in working with: Pneumatics.
o Must be Forklift Certified and be willing to retrain each year.
o The Maintenance Tech. must exhibit leadership qualities including:
o Ability to set examples such as meeting all company rules.
o Monitor and assist other members of his/her team.
o Training
o Organize the work in the maintenance area to maximize efficiency.
o Mental and manual dexterity: maintain high level of concentration to maintain maximum productivity.
o Visual dexterity too visually inspects units for quality defects.
o Must have general reading and writing aptitude.
o Must be able to lift 75 pounds
o Must be able to do basic math.
o Consistently meet company rules concerning tardiness, lunch, and break time, etc.
o Ability to follow directions and work well with others.
o Must maintain clean and orderly work area.
o Recognize that in a company as small as IFC, employees will sometimes have to work in different areas of the plant and that the phrase That's not my job is not applicable here. We do what we have to do to get product made and out the door!Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
